Khandi Alexander Quits CSI Miami

Although CBS declined to comment, a Miami insider confirms that Alexander — who has played medical examiner Alexx Woods since day one — is leaving at the end of the season. The gossip that's being circulated across the web is that she had issues with a certain aspect of the show. Supposedly, tonight her character Alexx Woods resigned. Check out the promo below just in case you don't remember Khandi Alexander.

Miami's on the prowl for a new medical examiner to succeed Alexander, and word on the street is the newbie will be a man this time around.

Khandi Alexander (born September 4, 1957) is an American dancer and film and television actress. Born in New York City and educated at Queensborough Community College, she appeared on Broadway and choreographed Whitney Houston’s international tours from 1989 to 1992.
