Billy Ray Cyrus speaks out. He defends his daughter against complaints on her recent Vanity Fair photo shoot. Miley Cyrus, 15, was criticized for her seemingly topless photos shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Billy Ray said on Tuesday’s Today Show:
I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket. I was surprised when I saw it. . . but, hey, that’s life. Stuff happens..
He adds that he never complained about the photos:
I didn’t, ‘cause my dad always said, ‘The more you stomp in poop, the more it stinks.
When the photos were first released, Miley Cyrus, the Hannah Montana star, apologized for the pictures. She said she was “embarrassed.”
