Michael Jackson's memorabilia fetched surprising prices at an auction to mark the pop icon's first death anniversary.

The big sale of clothing, documents, and furniture in Las Vegas has only just started and already experts at Julien's Auctions have been left staggered by the huge amounts the items are fetching, reported Contactmusic.

A custom-made jacket, which was expected to go for $8,000, sold for a whopping $120,000, while an autograph the late pop superstar gave to a fan the day before he died fetched $21,000. That was 26 times more than its estimate!

Michael Jackson's signed white fedora hat, which was expected to go for $3,000 was sold for $56,250!

LAPD Treats Michael Jackson Death As Homicide | Doc Stops Talking

Dr. Conrad MurrayTMZ.com reported Wednesday that the LAPD is treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide. Detectives wanted to talk with Dr. Conrad Murray a third time with the County Coroner's present at the scheduled meeting, but Dr. Murray canceled the interview at the end of the week with the LAPD, according to TMZ.

The Doctor's lawyer said that Dr. Murray will not talk to the detectives at this time. So the cops called the lawyer back, and guess what? The lawyer's lawyer answered the call and said that Dr. Murray's lawyer would not talk to the police right now. Well... TMZ has covered another strange event. Michael Jackson Returns To Neverland | Left Joe Nothing In Will

UPDATE JULY 1 2009:

The Jackson family has just released a statement via their newly acquired reps, saying there will be no public or private service for Michael Jackson at Neverland.

"Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland.

Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly."

It has been a crazy week. Michael Jackson's sudden death has all of his fans in shock. I still can't believe he has left this earth. Michael Jackson had been rehearsing for the last 2 months for his triumphant return to the stage in his 50-concert tour in London in just a few weeks. This is unbelievable! However, it is true. Our beloved "King of Pop" is dead and we must accept it and move on with our lives.

Now, this is the latest report on Michael Jackson's Memorial. It looks as though the Jackson family has decided on a public memorial service to take place on either Friday or Saturday. According to TMZ, Jackson's body is set to be driven to Neverland Ranch late Thursday morning. A 30 car motorcade, including Jackson's body, will travel from Los Angeles to Neverland at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Michael Jackson's will lists Jackson's attorney, John Branca and Jon McClain, a music executive, as executors. The singer wanted his mother, Katherine, to have custody of his 3 children. Also, he bequeathed some funds to a couple of charities. Michael Jackson left nothing to his father, Joe.

The "King Of Pop" died today at 3:15 PDT in Los Angeles. He passed away of cardiac arrest. Michael Jackson dies at 50-years-of-age. The world has lost a major artist, a musical genius.

Rumors abound!

Some reports are that Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest around 12:30 pdt at a home in the ritzy area of Los Angeles. According to one rumor/report, it took the paramedics 10 minutes to arrive and then an additional 10 minutes to arrive at UCLA Medical Center. Michael Jackson lapsed into a coma, then later died.
