They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time,according to a statement made to the Associated Press.
The singer’s spokeswoman says the couple had not agreed to a settlement yet.
The couple married in a Castle in Scotland in 2000. Madonna and Guy have two children together, Rocco and adopted son David Banda. Madonna also has custody of daughter Lourdes from a previous relationship.
