Britney Spears has been nominated for Video of the Year for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Spears was nominated for her video Piece of Me, a video that played on her reputation as a tabloid queen. Other nominees are the Jonas Brothers for "Burnin Up," Chris Brown for "Forever," the Pussycat Dolls for "When I Grow Up" and newcomers The Ting Tings for "Shut Up and Let Me Go."
Spears has been nominated for three total Video Music Awards this year, including best pop video and best female video, both for Piece of Me.
The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on Sunday, Sept. 7 in Los Angeles. Look for Britney Spears to be involved in the show despite her awful performance last year.
